Day 378
I drove Josh to work today so I could do some errands, although I'm incredibly behind on laundry since yesterday was a holiday!
And when I picked up Josh from work there was a beautiful sunset, the iPhone can not do it justice.

Days 376 & 377
Sunday we spent hanging out, Josh did his homework and I hung out, and Monday was a holiday! So Monday we made plans to take some new friends to Parras and show them the winery here and hang out.
We of course went on the tour again, my third time.
Day 375
Today we have been invited to a traditional Scotish dinner of Haggis.
At an event called "Burns Night"
Now the first thing to know is what is Haggis.
So after reading that you should all know things included in the meal are not things I will eat.
Thankfully the lady hosting the dinner is a vegitarian, so in addition to regular Haggis there was vegitarian Haggis.
Also it is tradition to drink Wisky and read the poet Burns' poem "Ode to a Haggis" before you eat it, and apparently when the Haggis is brought into the room it should be proceeded by Bag pipes.
When Josh and I showed up at the event we were the only ones who didn't have a fun accent. There were people from Germany, Scotland, Britian and one couple from Mexico. Maybe to them we have an accent?
One of the Scotsmen even wore a kilt. He was the one that read the Poem, it was hard at first to catch on to what he was saying, but his accent was fun, and apparently in old times Scotland had its own language or dialect... So some of the poem I didn't get at all.
Then we ate by candle light
Sorry for the blurry picture
But I tried some of the real haggis, and to be honest it wasn't as terrible as I imagined it would be. In fact it was kind of good, knowing what's in it makes me not want to eat it.
I tried some whisky that they had too, wow! That was rough! I'll stick with my Jack Daniels :)
We had a great night though! And I was glad to be invited to learn more about this Scottish tradition that I would have known nothing about if I hadn't come to Mexico! Lol

Days 373 and 374
I spent most of the day reading, Josh spent a lot of time reading and doing homework.
I finished this book.
Day 372
Yesterday schools were closing early and canceling for today because it was going to be below freezing and schools don't have heaters.
I was excited because the first snow is always exciting, I love seeing it and the quiet that comes with it.
We got snow, just a little

Day 371
I think I mentioned that there was a neighborhood being built next door, starting last March or so, they are just now putting up the first house.
All the houses here are made of cement blocks, but they poor the concrete in the backs to secure them. And for the floors and etc.
Here is a concrete mixer/pourer contraption that you see a lot here
Days 367- 370
We spent a lot of time at home with Josh working on school work. And not doing anything exciting.
On Monday I did help my friend move some of her stuff to her new house, her new house is beautiful!
While we were packing up we looked over at the neighbors house and saw this...

Day 363
I went to the grocery store today while Josh was doing his homework.
And today in the fish department you could buy sting ray.
Or a hunk of it, barf!
Then, I wanted to try out a recipe from my pioneer woman cookbook.
I made stuffed jalapeños.
Being a person that does not like spicy stuff, I was nervous about liking them, but actually they were really good, not spicy really at all.

Day 359-361
It has been cold here, we have been cuddling up and keeping warm and not doing anything. I have been slacking off and kind of in a funk.
Mr has been following the sun around the house trying to keep warm.
Day 358
After a long night last night I think everyone was a little tired...
I watched a lot of TV. And finished all 4 seasons of Hartland that are on my Netflix, it's a good show, aimed at preteens, but I'm running out of things to watch here...

Day 357
Today was nothing special, Josh started his masters over the weekend,
And I went grocery shopping.
Day 355 & 356
We spent Saturday at home, and Josh did his homework.
On Sunday I got an email from my parents that Roscoe my cat at my parents house that we got when I was in high school passed away during the night.
Roscoe was born the summer of 1999 So he was about 16 years old. I am happy I was able to see him while I was home at Christmas. We knew he wasn't going to make it much longer, he wasn't leaving his little house much and he was having trouble getting into the litter box.
I still remember his first winter, he wandered outside in the snow and when he didn't return for a couple days I went and looked for him, followed his tracks through the woods and across the neighbors driveway and down into a swamp area where he had tried to make it back out, but the snow was slippery and the incline was too much for him, and when I found him he was covered in snow, and he had lost his little meow because he had been meowing too much. I wrapped him up in my coat and brought him home, he recovered well, but his meow was always scratchy and he never went anywhere in the winter that wasn't a path we had shoveled, he didn't want to get lost again.
He also didn't really like anyone but my Dad, myself and he would tolerate my mom if my dad was gone hunting or something.
He will be missed.
