I of course annihilated them!

Day 550

Today I came home from the gym, and I noticed little clear things all over the floor... and I thought how did the feathers from my Down comforter end up down here? I guess I need to vacuum those up... but when I took a closer look, they were wings from TERMITES!!!
what you see in the picture below is the pile of termites after I sprayed them with killer... and then called Josh in a panic!
This is the wall between the living room and the kitchen... did you know they can chew through cement?
and then this is the molding at the bottom of the wall

Josh's assistant contacted the land lord and they are coming to spray in a couple days!

Day 495

I kept telling Josh I was doing nothing today except relaxing and eating pasta... However he made me help him put this picture from IkEA together.
We have had it since we moved to Mexico, but we had to put it together today...
After some trial and error and no longer having the directions, we got to together with only a few wrinkles.

Day 488

Today Mr finally, after days of staring at the tree, climbed it!
However, he was unsure how to handle the crook...
Later he and this bird were having quite the time.
It kept swooping down at him, and landing a few feet away, taunting him.
Josh and I got a desk and assembled it!

Day 487

Finally Internet!!!! I have been dying without it!! Dramatic, yes, but honestly it is my only link to home

And I made a couple hearts for a friend going through a tough time,

And I picked out some fabric for a table runner I'm going to make for a friend's birthday.

Day 486

We enjoyed our backyard a bit today.
Then since we were so busy cleaning up we headed out to dinner, and Josh's coffee came with a little bear!

Day 485

Things in the house are coming together,
Our closet is organized
I love this bathroom, minus the clear glass door on the door to the toilet.
Our bedroom is smaller than the last, but it's great! I think it's a much better size, especially since there are no dressers!
Then I worked on scrubbing some cupboards, and Mr decided to help
The guest room also got put together,
And check out the guest closet!

Day 483

Today we are still moving in, and they are working on our back wall
Mr is trying out hiding places in the new house.
This is the truck that moved our furniture...and all the workers rode on the inside. Good thing is we didn't move far.
Mr was testing his fear of heights, I guess he doesn't have one.
Then they discovered that the mattresses would not fit up the stairs.so the had to lift them over the balcony!
Thankfully they all made it safely
And all of our extra furniture doesn't fit in this house we finally have a plan to donate it!!!! More than a year later!
Our old house looks so empty and it echoes.
While we were doing our final clean up it rained a ton, and flooded the streets!

Day 482

More unpacking, and my sewing room is taking shape.
Our refrigerator was delivered, on its side
Then Josh helped them get some of the packaging off...
And after we took all the ridiculous amounts of parking out of the inside its up and running! And I love it!

Day 481

We did a lot of packing!
This is my sewing room, 1/2 packed.

And we got the keys to the new house,
where Josh left me at to get some cleaning done, while he went and grabbed a load of already packed things, we have a long road ahead! Lots of cleaning, we started with mopping the living room floor so that we could just move everything into the living room and then disperse as we went.

Day 474

Today we did a bit of yard work, and saw these giant snails!

And then we did a bit of shopping for a new fridge, since our new house does not have a fridge.
And we saw this one.
Isn't it adorable? Although really poorly built.

Days 408 & 409

So I looked out the upstairs window and this happened.
They have been working on the other side of our wall building a neighborhood, we just didn't expect them to build a house essentially in our back yard!
Now we have to move.
The cement truck came
But Mr slept through all of their noise
And in the evening I made cauliflower pizza crust
Looks good right?
Wrong, it was terrible, never again! Never again!

But now I have to share my sewing room :(

Day 189

To be honest I feel like the day got away from me.
I talked to my parents and my sister,
I did dishes and ironing, a little sewing, but nothing amazing, oh and they finally took our screens to be redone after the hail broke through them!

Day 11

So I did a few more loads of laundry, one of which was sanitizing the pad for the steam mop, Josh had steam cleaned some things before I got down here.
So I was excited to use the steam mop for the first time.
Meet our steam mop.

Notice all the dirt on the pad? This place is dusty! I had mopped the bathroom, closet, bedroom and living room, and it got quite dirty! Then later I knelt on the living room floor and my pants were all dusty again! How will I keep up with this dust!?!?!

But the steam mop is really nice Nice and quick, I had heard about them because my sister inlaw had one, and really liked it. The downfall is no cleaning solution can be used... So you will need to bleach mop occasionally...

I also washed the sheets, so I made up our bed with all the decorative pillows and etc. I am in LOVE with our new bedspread set!
And our lamps :)

I tried out mexican gummy bears, I think they are actually panda bears...
They were good!

I skim the pool everyday, and I saved this guy while cleaning the pool, he spent the rest of the day hanging out on the patio.

Then, we ate left over ham and cheese sliders, and made mashed potatoes that are supposed to be like apple bees mashed potatoes.

They took some work, and were ok, but Josh and I agree, they were not worth the effort.

And the Spanish lesson for the day, crema acida is spanish for sour cream :)

Day 180

We spent most of the day organizing our house.
Since the other couple has left, and we have all of their furniture, and now Josh doesn't think anyone else is coming.
We reorganized the living room, we now have 2 couches, and 2 love seats, 2 coffee tables and 3 side tables...
Enough seating I think...
We also added a TV to the guest suite, a dresser and a recliner.

And we furnished the "office" with a bedroom set as well. Our bedroom gained the two chairs that used to be in the living room.

And my sewing room is reorganized to better hold the TV, and the new end table it recieved.
I really like the new shelving arrangement!!!

And the TV swivels, so I can turn it to where I am in the room!
