Day 469
I've been gone a little while, but I needed some time to get over a few things, and feel comfortable putting myself out there.
So today is the day after my 15k and I loved/hated it and felt so accomplished when I finished I immediately wanted to register for anger race, so, I was doing research on a few events, and Mr was not happy I was kind of ignoring him.

Day 468
When I started running in Feb with my friends here, I said, I run 5ks, and nothing further. One of the girls was training for an upcoming 1/2 marathon and asked us to train with her, I said sure, but I'll only do the short runs, next thing you know, I'm running 8 miles, and signed up for a 15k. Now I'm not fast, but I'm not really slow either, 3 of my friends are faster than me, and 2 about the space speed.
We lined up at about 7:30
And Josh headed out on the course with some of the other husbands to take pictures.
About 9k, I'm pretty tired, since this stint is all up hill
Crossing the 10k timer
About 14k entering the stadium
And almost at the finish Line!
We all made it! Even with the rain, it was pretty good.
My official time was 1hr 37minutes 6 seconds
Average pace of 10:22, not bad at all
Mr was not impressed and instead decided to sleep on my workout clothes
Day 466 & 467
Friday was a laid back day where we didn't do anything noteworthy.
Saturday we were invited to a wedding in Monterrey. My first Mexican wedding!
All weddings are formal here, so a long dress is necessary, I wore a bridesmaids dress I had. You can also rent dresses.
This is the main chapel,
Walking here from the car the plastic cover on the heel of my shoe disintegrated.
Inside of the church, not as fancy as I expected.
They also don't have attendants, no bridesmaids or groomsman. They did have flower girls.
It was a full catholic mass wedding in Spanish, I tried my best to follow along... Some of it was way over my head.
Then we went to the cocktail hour, it was on the top of one of the tallest buildings in Monterrey.
We had drinks and hors d'oeuvres
No I did not eat this... It was raw fish. And I only drank water because tomorrow is my 15k!
When the bride and groom arrived they did their first dance, and dances with the parents, then it was time to go to the reception where dinner was served, it was 10pm, we didn't go to the reception because I had to be up early for the race in the morning.
Day 465
Mr spent some time outside hunting birds today
Then in the evening I went with my friends to the spa to celebrate one of their birthdays. We had facials, manis, pedis, and a massage, it was fun. We also had some snacks and wine.
And for the last two birthdays I made my friends key chains.
I got the idea off of Pinterest, but I couldn't find the exact stuff they had, so I improvised, but I think they turned out cute.

Day 461 & 462
Sunday I went for a run and other than that hung out at home. On Monday I convinced some of my friends to go to a silver store some of the other expats had been talking about.
I needed a cuff to cover my terrible watch tan line.

Day 452
I have been wanting to try making Perogies for a while now.
So today I made mashed potatoes and dough and started stuffing the pastries.
