Days 104- 106

An uneventful day overall...
Spanish was cancelled, so we made chicken puffs, they were ok...

Thursday...
Ancestry day. After my regular chores I squeezed in some time to work on my project, no new people were added, but mostly facts checked.

Friday,
A busy day, the weather was ok, and I met another lady from Germany, one from Bolivia and one from mexico, it's so interesting to meet people from all over.

Day 102 & 103

Monday always brings reality.
The reality of cleaning up after the weekend and back to work. I of course did laundry and scrubbed down the master bath.

Tuesday was another day where I did some dishes, finished up laundry.
I finished the embroidery on my block of the month from January.
Then I drew out the plan for the baby quilt I need to finish before Easter.

And I made this delicious loaded baked potatoe soup.
The recipe asked me to put it in a food processor, I don't have one, so I talked to my mom and decided to just mash the potatoes, so in doing that I didn't add the cream cheese they suggested and it made dinner healthier, and Josh liked it too, I will make this one again, also the recipe was huge! So I had to cut it in half, and it asked for 1/2 and 1/2 but they didn't have that here, so I had to make my own. :)

Day 101

After our relaxing evening with a fire on day 100, we continued the relaxation on Sunday.
We hung out, cleaned the pool, went to the gym, cleaned the car, it was a warm, enjoyable slow day. We finished it with cooking German brats on the grill and eating them with drinks. It felt like a vacation.

While we were talking, Josh and I discovered he has been here for 6 months on assignment so far, only 4.5 years left, time sure flies by.

Day 100

100 days! Can you believe it?
Well, I know that a lot of kids celebrate 100 days of school by dressing up like a 100 year old. Lol, instead it was warm here and I wore shorts for the first time this year! Shorts in February!
And I went to a market in Monterrey and Josh went to work.
The stuff below is talavera

I wanted this big plate for my coffee table, but it was 700 pesos!

I am In Love with these sinks, we plan on buying one for our next house.
I bought this tiny pot for a cactus we have here.

Also we went to another store that had things I had been looking for!
The poppy seeds I have been looking for since October!!!

Day 98 & 99

Thursday is ancestry day.
Between last Thursday and this one, I added 65 more people to my tree bringing it to 1138! That's a ton of people! Most of them were on Josh's side, because I had no one.

Friday was rather uneventful, but then Josh and I headed out to dinner with a couple we have met and really enjoy hanging out with.
When saw this.
Remember the days when we could ride in the back of the truck?

Day 97

I went downtown with some friends, we saw some new things!
This guy
A new meat market, that the only reason I'll revisit is to take Josh back, so he can see the grossness on his own, a candy store, and these!
Wild parrots! They migrate through here every year!

Day 95 and 96

Monday Monday, means laundry... And I was supposed to clean the laundry room/maids quarters...yes we have a maids quarters... But no maid... Hence I'm cleaning... But, I didn't clean on Monday, because I slacked off... So I only did laundry...

Tuesday however I got my butt in gear
But bad news! I found a leak in the ceiling of the maids shower... Gross!!!

And I got a little bit of sewing done.
