Day 255

Josh had to go into work, even though it's Sunday.
So I spent time coloring in my proposal for the client quilt.
She will stop by tomorrow to approve.
Then I basted the MIL quilt.
Then I ironed some fabric for my road to Tennessee quilt.

Heading home- day 254

My parents dropped me off at the airport at 4 in the morning.
My luggage was so full I had to actually leave some of the books I bought at my parents house eek!
And I flew to Atlanta, where I met up with Josh who was flying back from  North Carolina after a few days at headquarters. It was nice to see him :)

Once we got home early and unpacked,
Maybe I brought back too much fabric? Impossible! Here is no such thing as too much.

The week comes to an end

Well, my mom and I headed down to the lady dr. Bright and early in the morning, then we did a bit of shopping and got lunch
And then I head to go to the hospital for my ultra sound, that's right 4 dr's appointments in 3 days, awesome, right!? Ugh, at least I got them all out of the way.

And finally I met up with another friend for dinner where we hit up the library book sale again and meijer :) I love meijer. And I miss meijer... Sigh...

My parents were also baby sitting my brothers dog while he was on vacation, she might be more spoiled than Mr. Meow...

On Thursday I finished my shopping up with my mom, and Friday I met up with my grandma and had lunch and went to a fabric store down in Utica, it was really nice and I got my last piece of fabric I needed.
Just in time!

The week begins

I forgot to tell you about the tragedy that bedMe of that wine bottle in my luggage... You guessed it, it broke, not just broke shattered, all over all of my clothes in my luggage. I opened my luggage and cried, red wine on all of my clothes. I was able to get it out of everything but one of my favorite shirts :(  a white sweater and a pair of capris I brought home to hand down to my nieces. A couple other items just have a bit of wine on them and I can wear them as normal. Sad.

Sigh, I dropped Josh at the airport then headed over to my sisters to spend time with them, it was good. Then headed home and opened my mail :)
The last line of downtown fabric! I get to make a Christmas quilt with these, aren't they pretty?
And I got this jelly roll of canyon before it's even released!!!! I'm excited because I hope my online quilt group is having a sew along using this fabric in Octoberish and I would not be able to get it!

Then Monday I had to get my first ever cavity filled, I was super sad about it, and the dentist had a hard time numbing me up, I had to get 6 shots of numbing stuff before I couldn't feel the drilling!!!
Then some shopping with my mom.

Tuesday was a terrible day for me. I had to go to a new ear nose and throat dr. To get my thyroid nodule checked. Apparently it's gotten bigger. So they had to do another biopsy ( I do not enjoy being stabbed in the neck) then I had to get blood taken and schedule an ultra sound.  They think because it grew it could be cancer.
Then I had to pull myself together and meet up with friends for lunch., it was a great lunch and I'm super happy I was able to see my friends :)

And I got home early enough to hit up Joann fabrics and the book sale at the library!
And I picked up books 2-6 of the Janet evonovich series.

Best of friends

Why did we come home in the middle of August? Well, there are no holidays that we came home for, but we did come home for one of Josh's good friends since High school's wedding. (I'm fairly sure that apostrophe is out of place)

but we started our saturday out with visiting one of my best friends.
and meeting her new baby! We were so lucky our time in Michigan overlapped by one day and we were able to meet up even if only for an hour. It was worth it.

Then we headed to the wedding.
a beautiful outdoor wedding.

Then on to the reception, where we ate, drank and had a good time ( I may have also taken too many selfies...)

We had an awesome time, until it was time to say good bye, I knew moving to Mexico I would miss my friends, not that we saw them all the time when we lived in North Carolina, or even when we lived in Michigan, but the option was there and I think we saw each other more spontaneously. I don't think I realized how much I would miss them, I ended up crying at the end of the night, and to be honest I'm getting a little teary-eyed right now as I type this. These people, even the ones we haven't seen in 10 years, are still some of the best friends anyone could ask for. We are so lucky.

Day 252 and 253

I spent Thursday doing the finishing touches and worrying I hadn't packed enough, as I have been making a huge effort to not over pack, since when I come home I always need as much space as I can get.
I even put in a bottle of the wine I bought the day before as a treat for my parents for being awesome.

Friday we woke up and got ready for the car service to pick us up and head to the airport.
We spent the entire day traveling, and just as we were getting ready to land at 11 pm we flew past a storm, with lightening, it was really cool.

Days 244 and 245

I cut myself washing dishes, so I couldn't finish them :(
And I finished a book woohoo, the second one I two weeks, which is good, since it took me almost 4 months to finish one.

Thursday I still didn't want to,wash dishes, so I worked on my ancestry, and then I read another book, I'm reading The island by Elin Hildebran it's pretty good.

And I spent a couple of hours outside with Mr meow.
He was really enjoying being outside.

Day 243

So today was sewing day after I finished my chores so I set out to finish mending, which i did! Yey!
Then I set to work sewing on a pillow with sun bonnet sue on it that I started like 5 years ago for my grandma. I sewed the foot on and when I pinned the dress on, but my emroidery hoop is too small to fit over it, so I have to wait until I can get a bigger one :( I have nothing to sew!

So I read some of my book.

Then Josh and I made dinner when he got home after 8:30.
We made my first pioneer woman recipe. It was delicious!!!
Asian noodles, so good!!! I recommend these!

Day 242

Today I did laundry, paid bills and cleaned the laundry room.
I even gave Josh a hair cut.
And I found cockroach number 3 dead in the office bathroom, yuck!

For dinner we made chicken nuggets.
They were ok, but not great.
But while making them we had 2 eggs left and I read the directions and I thought I was supposed to mix the eggs and flour together, nope, you are not... So I had to run to the store and buy more eggs. Then when I ran out of flour in my dipping bowl , Josh dumped in more... Except if was the powdered sugar... This is the third time he has thought the powdered sugar was flour lol... All because they don't bleach the flour here lol...

Day 240 and 241

On Saturday we woke up early and met up with some friends to head to Monterrey. We want to the market there to shop, we were about half way through when I got too over heated and started seeing black, almost passing out. Josh bought me a Popsicle and we sat down and ate it, it was nice, and I started to feel better. Phew! We had a good rest of the trip, but next time we go to the market it will be winter, no way Jose am I going there in the summer again, ugh!

Sunday we stayed at home all day with the exception of a quick trip to the grocery store.
We washed the car and watched American Sniper finally, it was a really good movie. Sad, but good.

Day 239

Today Josh was not supposed to work, but he is a dedicated man, so into work he went for a few hours, meanwhile, Mr caught a nap...
At the expense of my clothes... Ugh...

Then Josh came home and he took a nap too :) and we enjoyed a dinner at home and some relaxing TV. It was really nice to have him home that extra half a day.
