We were thankful to avoid the parade traffic for the NBA championship team and made it to fresno quite early,
So we got our hair cut and saw pitch perfect 2, and watched the tigers lose to the NY yankees.
Calling it an early night we went to bed and woke up super early in the morning to fly back to Mexico.
We arrived at the airport early and waited for our flight, our flight was delayed almost 2 hours, and when we made it to our connection city we thought we had about 20 minutes to get to our other flight, then it turns out that flight was delayed 1/2 an hour!
We were flying American and both planes needed to have maintenance done on them!
But thankfully we made it home safely.
As we flew out there were some beautiful views
I am disappointed we did not make it on our hiking trip, but we need to train and take better care of our selves and try again.
San Francisco is a very interesting city, expensive but interesting, and kind of sad. It seemed things down town closed early around 8 and everyone left downtown, and the homeless came out, it got kind of scary at night.
We had fun even though we didn't have our trip planned. Even if we I didn't pack any make up, or basic toiletries, I expected to be in the woods not the city! We didn't even have any clothes other than hiking clothes, and I only packed two non-hiking shirts! How is that for not over packing??
It is hard to convert your thinking immediately to see non-hispanic people everywhere and not think "Hey! there goes a foreigner!" and to switch your default language when speaking with someone other than your spouse, even though my spanish has a long way to go, when I'm out and about, I say simple things like Gracias, Por Favor, Permiso etc. these things its hard to switch to them coming out in english after using them daily in Spanish. It was easier to be in the US I didn't have to think with every interaction I had.
After we made it back to Mexico we arrived home to no POWER! how is that for disappointing after you have been thinking how great it would be to take a shower at home?
